La Vida es Salsa — Cuban Salsa Meets LA — on Friday 27 November 2026 is the monthly mix party by Salsaventura Zoetermeer and Mr. Vinnie, hosted at 1892 Eten & Drinken at Dorpsstraat 187 in Zoetermeer. This is deliberately not a purist event but a meeting place for two worlds: dancers at home in Cuban casino and dancers who turn cross-body LA-style, together on one floor with a music mix that serves both styles. The night opens with a workshop in Cuban-meets-LA-style salsa, taught by Vinnie and Gilbert — two teachers who have been teaching the overlap between both styles for years and who show you how Cuban figures fit into LA frames and vice versa. An ideal evening if you want to broaden your dance repertoire or if you're curious about the other salsa style. After the workshop the DJ takes over for a dance night with sets that balance between Cuban timba, son, salsa cubana and the more Puerto Rican and Colombian classics.
