Descarga Salsa was founded in September 2019 with the explicit mission to grow the Latin scene in Zwolle and the surrounding area. The offering is Cuban-focused: structured courses for beginners and intermediates, plus a dedicated Rueda group that starts every September — Rueda de Casino is one of the most fun group forms of Cuban dance, rarely found in schools this size. The 2025-2026 season is announced, so the school keeps growing. Outside Descarga Salsa, Zwolle also has Se Baile Salsa (broader Latin), but for pure Cuban focus Descarga is the place. For bigger events dancers head to Apeldoorn (SalsaFever) or Deventer (Salsa Viva), or down to Amsterdam.
